Smart Choice, Serious Fun. With AwardNL, your child will develop self-confidence, social skills, responsibility and perseverance.

We focus on the development of young people aged 14-24. The program consists of 4 set skills (5 at gold): sports, individual talent, volunteering, expedition and for Gold a residential project. Young people choose themselves how they complete these components. Together with their Award Leaders, they choose their goals and start achieving them. Depending on their level, it takes at least 6, 12 or 18 months.

The only group activity of the Award program is the Adventurous Journey. After a thorough preparation and trial journey, participants go back to nature independently with a small group of peers.

Expeditions are conducted and judged by a specially trained Award Supervisor. No matter how challenging, the safety of the young people is always paramount.

AwardNL promotes self-confidence and development of your child and is Serious Fun. The Award is an internationally recognized program with proven impact on both young people and their communities. A mention of the Award on the resume stands out to recruiters and provides guidance for a good job interview.

Perfect one-two punch with study

For sports, volunteering and individual talent, one hour of time investment per talent per week.

Offered through various high schools, secondary education, youth centers and various associations.
