The Duke of Edinburgh Cup is coming to the Netherlands!

An exclusive golf tournament for the business (amateur) golfer. The pair with the highest score will be invited to the World Final of the Duke of Edinburgh Cup in England, September 2025. Registration is now open!

On this day, you will be playing for a good cause. The tournament is an initiative of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, known in the Netherlands as AwardNL. We challenge young people aged 14 to 24 to develop themselves, push their boundaries, and contribute to society. Participants in AwardNL discover that they are capable of much more than they think. Together with schools and youth organizations in the Netherlands, we guide around 2,000 young people in achieving the goals they set for themselves; from setting a world record in trampoline jumping to weekly volunteer work for the elderly.

We are proud to bring this exclusive golf event to the Netherlands and that The Duke Club in Nistelrode is opening its course for this special day.

Program:
09.30 uur             Start registration
11.00 uur             Shotgun start
18.30 uur             Dinner & award ceremony

Better Ball Pairs, Stableford Format. The two winners must have a current official WHS handicap to qualify for the World Finals.

Collaboration with The Duke Club

Since 2001, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation has raised over €6.3 million worldwide through The Duke of Edinburgh Cup for charities supporting young people. This success is made possible by the dedication of partners and golf courses that provide their facilities.

“We are proud to bring this exclusive golf event to the Netherlands and grateful that The Duke Club is opening its course for this special day,” says Jeroen van de Wiel, co-organizer of AwardNL.

In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined using the following method:

  • Countback on the last 9, 6, 3, 2, and last hole of the course (regardless of the order played).
  • If still tied, the countback will then consider the last 6, 3, 2, and last holes of the first 9 holes.
  • If the tie persists, a sudden death play-off will take place, using Stableford scores.
